This Refund and Returns Policy explains how trials, lessons, cancellations and refunds work with Piano Lessons Australia ("we", "us", "our"). It sits alongside our Terms and Conditions and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

How lessons are delivered

We provide private, one-on-one piano lessons in your home or online. After you enquire, we match you with a qualified local tutor, usually within 24 hours, and agree a lesson time that suits you. No physical product is shipped; lessons are delivered in person or by video call at the scheduled time.

Free first trial lesson

New students are offered a free first trial lesson so you can meet your tutor and see if they are the right fit. Every new student also receives a free beginner workbook (valued at $22). There is no obligation to continue after the trial.

Money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your first paid lesson, you do not pay for it. Let us know within 7 days of that lesson and we will refund it in full or arrange a different tutor, whichever you prefer.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Lessons can be rescheduled. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a lesson so your tutor can plan their time. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full.

Refunds for ongoing lessons

If you have paid in advance for lessons you have not yet taken, you can ask for a refund of the unused lessons at any time. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. Lessons already delivered are not refundable, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law.

Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service is not provided with due care and skill, you may be entitled to a remedy. This policy is in addition to those rights, not instead of them.
