A fun way to get your children practicing!
As teachers, we have our own wise words and persuading ways to encourage our students to practice, however, once the lesson is over and the rest of the week is ahead of us, some students might not want to spend some of their sacred free time practicing.
Which is where you, the parents, come into the picture.
Believe it or not, most parents are guilty of not listening to their children play piano (or their instrument) often enough. Some parents might not even know where their child is up to in their musical education.
If you think this might be you, how about schedule a family performance night with your child?
It doesn’t have to be fancy, but getting your child excited for a night that is all about them and their instrument in their own home is guaranteed to motivate your child to practice for the big night.
This is a very fun and flexible approach to getting your child to practice as you can hold a performance night as many times a year as you wish.
